Primary 7 Growth Mindset Assembly 28.09.18

Well done to Primary 7 for a wonderful assembly all about Growth Mindset. The pupils all showed they are Confident Individuals by performing their script and song words in front of an audience. The assembly was followed by friends and family being invited to pop along to the Primary 7 ‘Calm Cafe’ to have a tea or coffee, biscuits, enjoy relaxing music and to take part in mindfulness colouring in. There was also an opportunity to make a donation for Growth Mindset bookmarks the pupils had made as part of their Enterprise Project. Well done to everyone involved and thank you to friends and family for coming along to support this.

Primary 4 Tennis Trip 12.09.18

Primary 4 pupils took part in an exciting tennis trip to the Emirates Arena in Glasgow. Pupils were able to see Great Britain’s Davis Cup team warming up ahead of their World Group play-off against Uzbekistan. Ahead of the trip P4 pupils were asked to send a question they would ask the players, and one of our questions were chosen! One of the players answered our question which was ‘Who inspired you to play tennis?’. The school were given tennis equipment and P4 pupils also received a certificate which they can use to book a free child and adult ticket to an upcoming tennis event, please see their certificate for further information on how to book this. Some pupils were also lucky enough to catch a signed tennis ball!

Judo Talk 10.09.18

Andy and Neil visited from Hibari Kan Judo club today to talk to P1-7 at an assembly. We learned about what Judo is and Andy’s journey to become the 2018 veteran European Champion in his category. It was wonderful to hear his inspirational story and to consider which of our school values Andy displays. Some of the pupils in our school who attend this Judo club showed some of the skills they have learned at Judo.
