Primary 7 Class Assembly 11.10.19

Well done to Primary 7 for a wonderful assembly called ‘Beyond the Book Cover’ all about the benefits of reading. They all worked extremely hard to write and then learn their script words and songs. Primary 7 also helped to create some of the dance steps which they performed in one of their songs.

Maths Week Scotland

It’s Maths Week Scotland and we’ve had a busy start to our week already! Remember we have a family learning opportunity today from 3-4pm and would love to see as many families there as possible. Head over to our school Twitter account @BlackoodPS_SLC to see many of the exciting events happening in school this week.

Primary 7 ‘Powering Up’ Science Workshop 01.10.19

Primary 7 had a busy day learning about renewable energy at New Lanark. Learners took part in Scottish Power ‘Powering Up’ workshops and went on a guided tour to learn about energy sources. They also developed and applied a range of Numeracy and Mathematics skills as they measured angles, measured heights and read decimal numbers on voltmeters. This links nicely to our focus on Maths Week Scotland.
